World pole vault record-holder Mondo Duplantis and world discus champion Daniel Ståhl headline the field for Wednesday evening’s Folksam Grand Prix in the Swedish city of Karlstad.

20-year-old Duplantis – who set a best-ever 6.18 metres in Glasgow in February – comes in off the back of clearing 5.94 for a stadium record in Gothenburg last weekend.

He is joined by three-time world medallist Piotr Lisek, another man who is capable of going over the illustrious 6.00 metre mark.

You can watch the event live from 1700-1900 BST on Vinco in the UK, with coverage in North America available on RunnerSpace.

The Swedes are out in full force, with other national record-holders expected including Fanny Roos (shot put), along with 800-metre runners Lovisa Lindh and Andreas Krammer.

Long jumper Khaddi Sagnia, who set an outdoor best of 6.81 metres last month, is joined by young prospect Tilde Johansson.

The 19-year-old set her 6.73 personal best at the Karlstad Grand Prix last year, before going on to win two medals at the European Athletics Under 20 Championships on home soil. She is down to compete in both the sprint hurdles and the long jump.

Another one for the future is sprinter Henrik Larsson. With a best of 10.20 seconds, the reigning European Under 23 100 metres champion is very close to the 10.18 national record which has been held since 1996.

You can find start lists in full here, with a schedule available via this link.
